Summer Time

It is officially summer time. I checked out yesterday and spent my last day on contact today. I have now been a techer for two school years. It has been a crazy busy year! A lot has happened this year some good some bad. I decided to challenge myself this summer. I don't want to sit around all summer and get nothing done. I want to be productive. I have made a set of goals for myself...really its more like a to do list but I don't like to do list...mainly because I never get them done. Here are my goals

1. Lose 20 lbs...I really need to lose weight for multiple reaons but I really just want to be healthier.

2. Get my students to Nationals and back all in piece....it would be awesome if they placed with their model but I would be happy with a successful and fun trip.

3. Read a book...from cover to cover...I have a really bad habit of starting a book and never finishing it.

4. Get a year long plan for all six classes I am teaching next year...I don't want lesson plans written yet but I do want to have an idea of what order I am going to teach everything in.

5. Get my house clean...I mean really clean...on my hands and knees scrubbing the floors....I want it to be super clean so that when football season comes around all I have to do it pick up.

6. Watch the entire series of Grey's Anatomy....I started it when I was in college but I stopped watching it when I started teaching...All of the episodes are on Netflix so I will get caught up this summer.

7. Get my classroom cleaned up and organized....I started this process a couple of weeks ago but I haven't really finished.

So as a way to keep myself honest I am going to blog about all of my progress. I don't really know how honest that will keep me but I am going to try. Feel free to follow along and comment as you wish.
